As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, our parish is once again celebrating the Sacrament of Baptism for children in our church. We are complying with current county and state protocols along with the directives of our Archdiocese. We will further adapt our baptismal procedures as protocols and directives change.
Because the celebration of Baptism is such a significant event for you and your child, we require parents and godparents to participate in a Pre-Baptism Class in preparation for the Baptism. Beginning in July 2022, we will return to in-person classes that will be conducted in the church.
In-Person Class
An in-person Pre-Baptism Class will be offered once per month on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM. To participate in this class, it is necessary to sign up through our parish office. The number of people in attendance from your family is limited to both parents and both godparents. Additional sponsors or godparents are not allowed. All four persons are expected to attend together at the same class. If all four are not able to attend, you will given other class dates that will help facilitate the ability of all four persons to attend the same class.
At the in-person classes no children are permitted. Parents must make prior arrangements for childcare. Families coming to a class with children will be assisted in re-registering for another class at a later date. This is an adult education class time together. There are no exceptions. Please plan accordingly. “Walk-in’s” (non pre-registered persons) are not permitted and will be scheduled for another available class.
Deacon Steve and Deacon Ray will be conducting the in-person classes.
A Pre-Baptism Class in Spanish will be offered on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. with the same procedures as noted above.
Zoom Class
Currently the Zoom Class option is discontinued until further notice.
