Due to recent court decisions, the County of Los Angeles is now allowing churches to re-open, as long as we follow strict protocols (masks, social distancing, contact tracing and sanitizing). However, due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, both the County Health Department and Archbishop Gomez recommend that we continue to celebrate our Masses outside, at least as long as the weather remains reasonably moderate.
Following these recommendations, we will celebrate all our Christmas Masses and the Masses for the coming weekend in our outdoor chapel, which has been beautifully prepared for Christmas. We remind you that the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday and Holy Day Masses continues. We urge anyone who is feeling at all sick to please stay at home for the protection of others, and we again encourage those who are particularly susceptible because of age or underlying health conditions to also stay at home. We will livestream our Christmas and Sunday Masses for those who choose to join in our celebrations through the internet. For those who are in good health and wanting to join us for our Masses, we welcome you. We will continue to diligently practice our protocols for the health and safety of all.
Please take care of yourselves, stay safe and have a wonderful and blessed Christmas.
