Due to the recent directives issued by the governor of California, we have once again had to close our church. We are, however, able to celebrate Masses outside, provided that we follow the required protocols, e.g., wearing masks, social distancing and sanitizing. So we will have our Sunday Masses under large canopies set up in the plaza area of the church. Since we will be outside we will not have the limit of 100 as long as we maintain the proper distancing.
For this weekend we will have the same schedule as we have had since we re-opened and there will be no need to register. Depending on attendance and the weather, we may alter the schedule for coming Sundays. Any changes will be announced on our parish website. We should have room for 100 or so people under the shade of the tents and the nearby hallways. You may want to bring an umbrella in case you wind up in an unshaded area. Please remember that the weather will be hot, especially for the mid-day Masses, so dress accordingly.
We are also making plans to catch up on the celebration of Baptisms, First Communions and Confirmations. Weddings and funerals can be celebrated but only outside. The parish offices will be closed to the public but our secretaries will be here to serve you through the telephone or e-mail. We thank you for your patience and understanding in all of this and ask you to join in praying for an end to this pandemic and for the health of all.
