We are happy to report that the reopening of our church for Sunday and weekday Masses and personal visits has gone quite smoothly. We are grateful to all the volunteers and to our parish staff who have facilitated this reopening and helped safeguard the health of everyone. We especially thank all those who are serving as hospitality ministers both at the entrance of the church and inside, and all those who are sanitizing the church after every Mass. Our maintenance team is also sanitizing the church restrooms after every Mass and the church after each weekday visiting session.
The need to make reservations for our Sunday Masses continues due to the directive that still limits our Masses to a maximum of 100 persons in attendance. Reservations can be made on our parish website (seasrh.org) each Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. Reservations at most Masses fill up quickly so it is important to make those reservations early. Those who have been able to come to our Sunday Masses since reopening might consider giving others a chance to register first or to register for a Mass time that isn’t as readily filled up. Remember that we continue to live-stream our Sunday Masses (8:30 a.m. in Spanish, 10:30 a.m. in English and 3 p.m. in Chinese) and that the dispensation from the obligation of attending Sunday Mass is still in effect.
Our weekday Masses are well attended but have so far not exceeded the limit of 100. The average weekday attendance is about 75. Some of our Sunday Masses have had less than 100 in attendance due to people with reservations not showing up. If you have reservations but your plans change, please cancel your reservation so that others may take your place.
Once again we thank you for your patience and cooperation. Thank you for wearing masks, sanitizing your hands and respecting the social distance. Thanks also to those who stay at home due to sickness or susceptibility. We wish that we didn’t need to have all these protocols regarding our Masses but we do want to be very cautious with everyone’s health and to comply with directives regarding health standards. We pray God’s blessing on all of you.
